If the wind isn't blowing and the rain isn't coming in your house.

Leaving your doors/windows open during a thunderstorm does not leave you more vulnerable to lightning. I love a good thunderstorm and the smell of that fresh, clean air, the displays of light and sound. There's no harm in enjoying it more. Just don't go sit on the roof.

If I remember correctly, the reasoning behind this Old-Wives' Tale is that it would allow any lightning entering the house to exit again harmlessly. It has no basis in fact.
Opening the doors and windows has no effect on the danger posed by lightning, which will tend to hit chimneys and tv aerials.

I dont see a problem. As long as its okay for your family, who cares? We tend to do the same thing.
