I know we are going to turn our clocks back an hour tonight, and I know it will get darker faster, but does that mean that it'll be light earlier?

yes, it'll get light earlier and dark earlier by an hour exactly.
i think other people are thinking of the fact that as it gets further into winter, the nights get longer (as the earths' axis rotates), so on a daily basis it's getting light later and dark earlier. But that's totally separate from daylight savings, which was introduced to make up for the getting light later bit. hope that's clearer for you.

Well if you look at it, Daylight Saving Time was created by the government to increase money value. Let me explain, before there were clocks or even a way to tell time our ancient ancestors went to bed when the sun went down and woke when the sun came up. Now, no matter what time doesnt change. The earth rotates around the sun the same way every year.
If you went to bed last fall at 10pm and woke up at 5am, and you did this for 10 years, no matter what you stll go tobed at the same time and wake up at the same time. The numbers on the clock dont change no matter if you change it back or turn it forward. The only thing changes is that it gets darker ealier and the sun rises later. Thats it. So, if you look at it time doesnt change.

By the clock, yes it will be light earlier after the clocks are turned back an hour. For example, if sunrise is at 6:30 a.m. today, and the clocks are turned back an hour tomorrow, sunrise will be, by the clock, an hour earlier, or 5:30 a.m.

As winter gets here it starts to get darker faster becuase the earth is spinning.Over where i live it is october 28 at 6:39pm and it is already dark out. When it hits snow time it will get dark at like maybe 5:00 or 4:30.
Hope this answers your question.
P.S you also lose a hour of sleep.

Yes. If the sun came up for you at 7:30 this morning, it will rise at 6:30 tomorrow.

Yes :) Since you are only turning your clock back, and you don't actually do anything to the time of sunrise and sunset, both sunrise and sunset occur one hour earlier according to your clock.

yes, you are correct in that assumption. However, as we go into winter here in the northern hemisphere, the days will get continually shorter till about December 22, so the extra light in the morning will be pretty moot.

yes it will be lighter earlier in the morning - example: it's light at 7:00, but tomorrow that will be 6:00 therefore making it lighter earlier
I'm right
