I know several people who have done this and it looks great. You need to dig the hole much bigger then the actual pool. The pool walls can not touch the ground. What you are actually doing is building the pool in a pit. You need the extra space around it so you have room to build it. Then you build a nice deck right up to the sides of the pool and no one will ever know the difference.

Close enough to 4 inches. I think only the USA measures rainfall in inches these days, the rest of the world uses millimetres.

There are exactly 2.54 centimeters per inch or 25.4 millimeters per inch. So:



25.4 mm = 1 in

1 mm = 1 / 25.4 in

100 mm = 100 / 25.4 in = (apx) 3.937 in
