if i've got been you i could arrive with a 30 day visa and whilst this runs out do a border run to malaysia as this could be your nearest border to get time beyond regulation i understand cambodia border runs purely final 2 weeks now yet uncertain if malaysia continues to be a month you may get an further week at any thai embassy in thailand for around 2 thousand bart and in case you fly to pnom penh cambodia can get a months visa from the thai embassy there and that i think of the comparable at a thai embassy in kl or singapore

In addition to the above answers, microbursts from thunderstorms can slam a plane into the ground when it is landing/near landing.

the jet streams move very quickly so planes follow them b/c they use less gas to go faster
