The cold fronts start returning to PA in mid-August offering some relief from summer's heat; however...fall-like weather becomes more prevalent during the latter half of September when the sun sets just after 7 PM and cold fronts are more frequent.

What weather in autumn to a person and what part of Pennsylvania are you referring too.

I'm guessing you mean middle/upstate Pa or the countryside area. around late August is usually the transition from hot to brisk weather in certain days.

If you mean first snowfall but semi-warm days around mid- October

That winter starts to being around late November .



I consider Philadelphia and Pittsburgh two different parts of that state because .

Not sure which part of PA you are talking about but I live in Barks County and usually around mid to end of September it starts to feel like Fall! That's my opinion though.
